About Me

Overland Park, Kansas
My name is Kate, I'm 19 years old, and on March 4th 2010 I was diagnosed with kidney cancer. I was told I had to get my left kidney removed- praise the Lord I have two! A month later they took out my kidney and told me the tumor was benign! I worship a God of miracles! I am a desperately dependent follower of Christ, who feeds on God's Word like manna! I know the healing hand of God and I believe He has plans to prosper me and not to harm me! I started this blog to communicate continued prayer requests, keep people up to date on my health and daily life, and most importantly share how Christ's love is transforming my heart everyday! Thank you for all your support! God Bless! PS I love to know who is reading the blog so comments are much encouraged and loved :)

update

Ok so I havn't posted anything in two months! OH MY WORD!! Being at kamp without internet access will do that to ya! Well I have like ten minutes left in my night off so I thought I'd whip out a speedy update! I was a counselor for 2 weeks and had the most stellar group of 16 year girls I could ever hope for! It was so incredible to see the Lord work in their lives in just two weeks! God is SO good! Now I am working in the office! YAY! So if you call the K-2 office you might hear "K-2 office, this is Kate! How can I serve you?!" Our customer service competes with Chic-fil-a :) haha! It's beens AMAZING! I've loved getting to know the girls I work with! In a couple days I'll go back to being a counselor for two weeks and then I'm headed back to KC!! I miss my family like crazy! The Lord is teaching me so much!! Mostly how to die to myself and pick up my cross DAILY.... sometimes hourly! Well gotta roll out! Expect another update soon! peace. love. and free wifi at mickey d's :)

  2. Kate! I worked in the office at K7 and loved answering the phone! Some of the guys on leadership would call and I was always the one to answer so they would pull a prank on me pretending to be a parent getting all mad about something just to see what my reaction was. It was so funny and I fell for it every time. Hope you're having a blast. I'm in the middle of writing you a letter so maybe it'll get there before July 16th! Haha
